Hello, everyone! Thank you so much for subscribing to Figment Archives! I’ve been wanting to start this publication for some time now, so I’m thrilled to finally be able to bring it to life!

This newsletter is a space for me to share my love for Disney history in a way I can’t fully do so on Instagram. While I enjoy creating content there, I’ve been looking for a platform where I can share more written content with fellow Disney enthusiasts.

As a librarian, I’ve always had a passion for doing research, and over the years, I’ve developed a love for learning about Disney history. Figment Archives is my way of combining my interests and sharing my findings with others.

Why Figment Archives?

The name combines two things close to my heart: “Figment” comes from the beloved purple dragon of EPCOT’s Journey into Imagination attraction. For me, it represents the power of imagination and creativity—two things that Disney has inspired in me since I was a child.

The “Archives” part of the name is a nod to my love for history and preservation. Combined together, the name captures what I hope this newsletter will become: a place that celebrates imagination, history, and the magic of Disney.

What to Expect

Figment Archives is intended to be a space where I’ll not only explore Disney history, but also share behind-the-scenes looks into my research process, personal discoveries, and my journey as an aspiring Disney historian. Here’s what you can look forward to each month:

• Updates and Insights: A monthly post sharing updates on my research, projects, and personal reflections.

• Disney History Essays: A deep dive into a specific Disney history topic exploring a story, event, or detail.

I’m planning to publish twice a month, but this schedule may evolve as I settle into a rhythm of creating for this new platform.
