  • Orlando Public Library (Orange County Library System)

    The Orlando Public Library (Orange County Library System) has multiple special collections located on the 4th floor. The materials that make up the Disney collection range from books about the Disney parks, picture books of Disney art, songbooks and a large holding of printed ephemera provided by the archivist t Disney. In this collection you can find books with artwork, recipes from the parks, and a few older items which are no longer in print. There are also several drawers of information, press clippings, and internal Disney newsletters for anyone wanting to do in depth research into Disney.

  • NYU Libraries

    The Fales Library and Special Collections at NYU Libraries has the John Canemaker Animation Collection, which cosists of documentary and graphic materials and is a source of information on personalities and subjects, both American and foreign, important to the history of film animation. While the collection includes copies of original material dating from the beginnings of film animation at the end of the nineteenth century, the original material concentrates on the late 1970's and the 1980's. Significant portions of the collection relate to Walt Disney and his studio, and to Canemaker's own extensive creative and research activity, and publications.

    The Walt Disney Family Museum is a nonprofit organization that features contemporary, interactive galleries with state-of-the-art exhibits narrated in Walt's own voice alongside early drawings, cartoons, films, music, a spectacular model of Disneyland, and more.

  • Walt Disney Hometown Museum

    The Walt Disney Hometown Museum's Disney collection includes personal family artifacts donated by the Disney family, personal letters written between Disney family members from the 1900's through the 1960's, gifts from Walt Disney, himself, to the city of Marceline, including remnants of the original Midget Autopia, photographs of Walt and Roy during their visits to Marceline, information on The Marceline Project (Walt's plan to build a live history park in Marceline), reproduction of Park School (Walt Disney's elementary school), Collector's Gallery, memorabilia of The Great Locomotive Chase (1956) and The Spirit of Mickey (1998).

    The Walt Disney Birthplace is the home Walt was born in in 1901. The house has since been restored and tours can be taken to see it from the inside.

  • Mirror, Mirror: Reflections of America in Disney Parks Exhibit

    This exhibit explored how Disney theme parks serve as locations of public memory, their relationship to stories of American history, and how the parks and the public are both adapting to new understandings of the American experience by complicating historical narratives. (Exhibit closed on April 14, 2024 and was located at the National Museum of American History)
